It's Feb 8th at the halftime of the Superbowl when I discovered that we had no hot water and it was getting cold in the house. Our furnace had stopped working. I tried resetting it to no avail. It's about 5 degrees out and now it's after 8:30pm. I called Alvin Hollis and their dispatcher answered immediately and told me that he would have a tech at my house asap. Before you know it there was an Alvin Hollis truck in my driveway. Kevin worked on our furnace for over an hour replacing an entire pump. He was friendly and cheerful. I really appreciated him coming out in such freezing temps and getting here so quickly. We have been with Alvin Hollis for over 25 years .

Alvin Hollis is the best thing since microwave pizza. They’re always reliable when you need them. Even if you have an emergency in the middle of the night, they’ll send someone right out to help. The employees know what they’re doing. And they’re a pleasure to work with. We recently had an oil tank replacement that could not have gone more smoothly. We love doing business with a local family that’s been around for over a hundred and fifty years. We often have the tech we’ve known for years come for service or routine maintenance. I look forward to many more years of efficient and friendly service from Alvin Hollis. 

I just bought a house and they were very nice and made it so I never have to worry about oil. I like how they cover me for the first two years for free as well.

WE had additional baseboard installed after an addition, the process was easy and done in one day. The technician did a great job and was very neat and friendly. The new baseboard has definitely made a difference in the warmth of the room.
We also have used their plumbing services; HVAC people; and heating oil delivery service, all have been wonderful !

We had a great experience with Jim Bicknell and his team installing Central Air in our home. We live in an older home so the job had its challenges. The team developed the plan and got it done. They gave us their schedule and met it with no surprises. The service was at a very high level. The system works great. Alvin Hollis recently replaced a furnace in my home. Everything was completed on time and the service was impeccable. This is a very solid, reputable company with high standards. Over the many years, AH has installed furnaces, central air conditioning, hot water tanks, and at times provided plumbing services in my home. Oil delivery and maintenance is always dependable.

We had been a client of Alvin Hollis many years ago so when we wanted Mini Split Heat Pumps installed we immediately thought of them for a quote. John G. Called us back immediately and promptly visited our house in Braintree to survey our property, make some suggestions and provide his thoughts . The quote was provided within 24 hours . We made our decision to choose them to do the job and then waited for the weather to cooperate . Within a month John had the 3 man crew out to install the system , which was completed the same day. The guys were both professional and prompt . They were very clean and respectful of our home. They also too the time to show us how the system worked and told us about the minimal care and attention it would require . The electrician was both personable and efficient . A very neat job. John then followed up with the rebate paperwork. Then we received a very pleasant phone call from Bonnie inquiring about our level of satisfaction . We couldn’t be more pleased with their service !!! And Bonnie had Joe contact us regarding future oil deliveries and service , at our request. I cannot recommend Alvin Hollis enough , we have been extremely pleased and satisfied

We never worry about our home heating and plumbing infastructure. For years Chuck and Alvin Hollis have always had our back. Whether it's pinhole copper pipe leaks from rockland water, the System2000 heating system upgrade when the 1961 furnace was ready for the Great Beyond, routine faucet replacement, or anything else we've asked them to do, we have always had an excellent experience.

Their techs have always had excellent customer facing skills as well as top notch trade skills. In the event they're seeing a problem for the first time they have a backup mentor they can access for questions so they don't get stuck in a time consuming trial and error problem solving nightmare.

When they come to my address I welcome a familar and skilled face and have no worries about the outcome. They are an old school company providing those quality services expected by an old school consumer, they will not disappoint !
