You Choose How to Heat Your Home’s Water

Tank
Domestic water heaters using tanks (usually with a 30-100 gallon capacity) provide a large volume of dependable, low-cost hot water. Fuel sources usually are natural gas, electricity or propane. They are the most common way to heat water in the United States.

Tankless
Today’s most popular “green” hot water solution. No matter how many showers and loads of laundry, no matter how deep the whirlpool, your system will not run out of hot water with a properly sized tankless water heating system. They’re energy efficient and provide hot water on demand at the precise temperature needed.

Indirect
Similar to a tank system, an indirect water heater is connected to a gas or oil boiler and receives water heated from that system, which an internal heat exchanger in the tank re-heats to keep hot.

Solar
An even “greener” hot water solution that uses an outdoor solar panel to capture the sun’s rays and convert it to energy to heat water. To learn more about Alvin Hollis’s capabilities as a solar power contractor, visit our Renewable Energy Page
